SWORBHP 12 Lead Acquisition Rounds Presentation

Has it been a while since you have had a 12 lead refresher? Well if so, there is no better time than now! Join us for an in-class rounds presentation on 12 lead acquisition.

Prehospital 12 lead acquisition may help Emergency physicians determine the best treatment plan for patients suffering from Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS), therefore your knowledge and skills are vitally important to your patient’s outcome. If you are already certified, this opportunity will provide you with a chance to refresh your memory of the pathophysiology of ACS and will allow you to practice your 12 lead acquisition skills.

Upon completion of his rounds, you should be able to:
• Identify the presence of ST segment elevation and depression
• Identify the location of myocardial infarction as indicated by ST segment elevation or depression
• Describe the value of prehospital 12 lead acquisition, and it’s appropriate use in the ACS patient
• Describe the pathophysiology of ACS in relation to ECG interpretation.
